cable fitment question

I have a sub cable that seems to fit looser than I would like on my sub. I am refering to the lfe cable. Is there a way that you can squeeze the ends to make it fit on the input of the sub better, or will it hurt the cable?

What is the best way to get the cable to fit more firmly?

    no idea....

maybe that sub cable has been worn out for a while? or poorly made...did you just get it?

Might be time to buy a new sub cable...

the cable is specifically for subs, it is a monster z-series. Set me back over $100. I won't buy a new cable and I don't think that it is worn out or poorly made. Anyone else?

I interpret that your cable's RCA male doesn't "crimp" on the sub's RCA female tight enough. If so, I don't see why you can't squeeze the cable's rca jack a little. It won't hurt the "cable", but if you squeeze too much, you may break the RCA jack (don't ask me why I say so :-)).

you can squeeze the cable connectors to make it fit tigher.. it will not harm the cable or the subwoofer. just don't make it so tight that you can't remove it when needed.

It should be fine. We do it at work all the time, and we haven't notice a difference yet.

Obviously, you have a problem with either the cable rca or the sub rca. Try the cable on a different rca jack to see if the cable rca is the problem. If it fits snug on another rca jack, then the sub rca is the problem. Report back.
