Which Setup Would You Choose

Looking for some opinions on a secondary HT setup in a small room approx
11 1/2 X 11 1/2. These are the two setup options:

Option 1
Center: CS1
Front Left/Right: T90Es
Surround Left/Right: Monitor 30s or 40s

or

Option 2
Center: CSi3
Front Left/Right: RTi6s
Surround Left/Right: RTi4s

Setup will be driven by an Onkyo TX SR502 with a Velodyne CHT-10 sub. I'm just torn on which setup to go with. I value the opinions of this group, so which setup would you choose?
Main theater: Paradigm Studio 100's v4 L/R, CC690 Center, ADP 590 x4 Surrounds. Dual Outlaw LFM-EX-1's, Yamaha Aventage RX-A1010 as Processor, Anthem PVA-7 Amp

Secondary System: Polk RTi 6 L/R, CSi3, Center, FXi3 x4 Surrounds, Def-Tech Supercube II, Pioneer Elite VSX-23 Receiver

The RTi's are a better speaker than the Monitors. Better build quality, crossovers and sound quality. I would definitely go with the RTi option.

I guess the biggest question for me here is the choice between the T90s and the RTi6s. It gets into that bookshelf vs floorstanding debate. Is it the general opinion that the RTi6 will provide better SQ than the T90e?

Regardless whether you choose towers or bookshelves I would recommend an upgrade to the CSi5. Well worth the extra cash if you can spare it.

the $400 csi5 makes no sense in an 11x11 room. Neither do towers for that matter. Not when you already have a respectable sub and presumably all speakers being set to small at the 80hz crossover point. of course that's my opinion not gospel. I say snag the 3 and the 6's (or 4's for that matter) and save some dough.

Sorry didn't see that it was only 11x11. I would certainly agree that towers are not necessary. But I do honestly believe that the Csi5 is a better match sonically for the RTi6s. They both have a little more forward sound than their smaller siblings. However, I have had many hours listening to the RTi series, and personaly prefer the sound of the 4's over the 6's. If you can live with slightly less volume you may be better off with the RTi4s and the CSi3. More $$$ left for other toys!

It is very normal around here to not read the initial post through enough to make good suggestions.

He has a great main HT already. I would suggest placing some of those components in his smaller setup to see what the needs may be. With the setup he has listed for his main HT, at the risk of hurting feelings here, I might even suggest changing brands to try something completely new. :)

Or how about a "Surround Bar"? It fits the room needs.

I agree with you aaharvel, I do have the CSi5 and RTi8s in my main theater room, and both the CSi5 and RTi8s would be overkill for this small room. I already own a pair of T90es that I purchased from Russman, and I have a pair of RTi6s that I used to have as rear speakers in the main theater, but replaced them with the FXi3s.

So I had the makiings for putting together a secondary system which would have been built around the RTi6 or T90es in the front since I already have them. Thats what I needed the opinions on. I'll hold the T90es for future use, maybe for a bedroom system, and build this secondary system by completing option 2. All I need to get are the Csi3 and the RTi4s which are available in my area. Thanks for your help you guys.

You all helped me put together my main system also, and I am loving it.
