Just finished my taxes and with almost 20 grand paid I'm getting back 63 big ones....63 bucks....6300 pennies! I'm excited! Its off to the hi-fi shop to see how I can spend it all!

I guess it could be worse...I could owe money like last year. :(

That blows, dude. At least you got something, though. Good luck finding anything at a hi-fi shop for that much money. You could pick up some interconnects or Vibrapods, though. For maximum musical enjoyment you might want to just pick up some CD's or DVD's.

God Bless America, and I would not want to live ANYWHERE else....but them boys in Washington spend too damn much....I just wrote an $1150 check on top of what I 'gave' all year.....

$63, definately some cd's or dvd's, maybe some closeout interconnects or speaker wire at audioadvisor....

    Cheers,

Well, Shack is really about perfect. Any refund you get is just the gov giving you back your own money. They kept it from you interest free. He only lost interest on $63. Now about that 20 grand. Ouch.

A big refund can just cause trouble. I am getting back $2300 and thought this would be a good time to upgrade somthing. Guess what. My wife seem to think it would be a better idea to buy some stupid jewelry! All diamonds do is just sit there and sparkle. Worthless rocks.

How long have you been married? Is she pushing for the ring upgrade? I've got that bridge to cross sometime soon, I just know it....

Man, even HALF of that could buy some nice gear....

Been married 27 years. Have been through several ring upgrades. Of course there have been quite a few soundsystem changes during that time. The jewelry & interior decor upgrades are just not as much fun as stereo, boat, & motorcycle upgrades. Those diamonds are so nonfunctional!

well, he had to pay $17k because of the retirement package he got. good thing he's like a mechanical genieous, he bid and spec'ed a job for a freind and his cut was 10%, and it covered the $17k he had to pay. pretty nice for a whole 3 days of work for my dad. he was hoping to put it towards his new toy (a sailboat), but it all went to uncle sam. all i know is i want to retire. i've got 23 months in, how much more???? :D

of course, i think my dad's gonna go through his retirment package in like 3 years the way he's spending it...
