I just really like the driver and tweeter layout in the 1C's for some reason they really appeal to me. I hope to someday own a pair.PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

I'll second that! 1C's would be my first choice in a midsized SDA.
They have a nice balanced look to them, a huge sound stage, and you don't need a forklift to move them.
I have a pair for sale, but after seeing that pair go for freaking $1500. on ebay, guys.....you know I love you, but $1500 bucks? Be hard to ignore that.

I've been looking at these also, about a 4 hour drive one way.I have actually talked with the seller,he has a pretty high reserve set...also,says he can't find the i/c...even though the add says it's included...he is the 2nd owner...seeing the $1500. oak pair sell makes me wonder where prices are heading... -

For $1,600 I might consider parting with mine....then again maybe not....but it really WOULD be tempting with 16 Franklins staring me in the face....
Of course that auction looks like the seller may have pulled it. It doesn't say it ended with a buy it now."Just because youre offended doesnt mean youre right." - Ricky Gervais

LOL for that kind of money, I'd expect free personal delivery and setup!
Guess it's time to take a breath and sit back. Things will settle down again.

My first set of 1.2TL's in mint condition cost me $1600. I always felt I totally ripped the guy off. He had a huge tax problem at the time and begged me to take them as I really didn't have the cash at the time. Actually, I spent the mortgage money and put that months mortgage on a credit card. As a matter of fact my friend and I often re-live the gentlemans discussion with his little daughter. "Daddy, why is that man taking our speakers?" "Honey, because your dad is a looser..." I don't think he actually said that but my friend always swears he did. But for 1C's??? I'll be the first to admit they sound like they should cost more than that much but will anyone pay it?
