Finally, something besides all this "touchy, feely, I'm OK, you're OK, can't we all get along" stuff. Bring back the babes! (just as a diversion from serious "audio hobby" dicussions and it rarely leads to fighting)

We could probably add some "hunk" treads for Cathy and other's on the forum who might enjoy that sort of thing (I of course wouldn't participate). It would be the PC thing to do.

Yumm Hunks!!! :D Be it known, I like fairly normal looking hunks. Men that have too many muscles bulging just looks gross!

So long as the babes thread is clearly marked so that I don't stumble into it, have yourselves a good ole time! :D

    Some of my thoughts are:

*This is Polk's forum, I think we should support them in their efforts and the music hobby in general.
*Look at Polk's marketing and sales strategies and realize that there will be more home theatre and car audio traffic coming by. Let's respect that and assist them.
    * I think a lot of us think of this forum as our "cave". A place where we can feel secure and are provided with "friendship" and advice.
    * Newbies should be treated with more respect. Buttholes get what they deserve. Feel them out before pouncing. They may eventually be a contributing member.
*This forum needs more girls. The audio knowledge tends to bloom when a femme asks a question.
*Have fun and keep it going.

I agree with everything you have said. I certainly wouldn't mind having more company.

However, as for thinking that this is a cave, please keep in mind that it is now a 2 gender cave, and keep the more vulgar comments for your local bar!

    Thank you! :D

I think this forum is super. I have been coming here almost every day for over a year and just reading and learning a lot. I don't post much, but when I have everyone has been helpful, even though my questions may sound stupid to the more experienced posters. I really appreciate the help. I really like how members seem to look out for each other when it comes to new people trying to sell things. These days it seems that everyone is just looking out for themselves and it is nice to see that it is not that way here.

It really is amazing how the male mind transforms when they know a person of the opposite sex is involved. And I'm not talking anything dirty or lewd here. I'll speak for myself and others may admit too....but everything just takes on a different connotation, not in a bad way but just different. This maybe being to honest...but the naturally social flirtatious side just comes out. Maybe it's just because I'm currently single and am very happy to have females so passionate about all things audio. Yep....probably TMI.

Hope I'm not getting myself in trouble here  .

Well nothing wrong with your mutation. There shouldn't be any reason to have this hobby be gender specific. I love to cook so I must have a genetic mutation too. Gender roles are way over-rated. Do what you like, like what you do!

See this is what I'm talking about.......Now I want to ask you what your screen name means and if possibly you were born 04-07-72? If you were a guy I wouldn't care. See....See....See what I mean  .

I just read through this and have to jump in. I have been around for a while and for the most part have kept my nose clean but not perfect. That said, I come here for an escape, to have fun and enjoy my hobby. I will say that I have been a little paranoid lately on the board myself. Since my first priority is fun I probably tend toward class clown a bit too much and lately I have felt I'm more of a pain so I have not posted as much. I have been told my Polk classification should be changed and really I can't disagree. I'm no expert but I like to enjoy what I have and you can take that to the bank.

I have made friends here, many acquantenances and in general have acquired a better sense of what our hobby actually means. I intend on hanging around but I guess I should keep my heals cool and read more than I post.
