Every room is different. How do you like the sound in spot versus another? I have my 12's against the wall because it work in my room and they're not my critical listeners. I have my LSi15's about 15 inches off the wall though.

I was going to say no, they shouldn't be against the wall becaust I looked at the picture of one and saw a front port...though after looking at it on the polk website it looks to have a rear "super dooper patented uber port" so usually puttign this against the wall will "sufficate" the speaker and you "should" notice the difference. The good thing is that if you do put it against the wall the front port can still breate but still I think for any speaker unless really small shouldn't be flush against any surface. Experiment like fireshoes says and I would try at least 1 foot off the wall first.

    Hope this helps,

    Chris

    Thanks Guys!
I think I will try moving it away 1' to 1 1/2' and see how it "looks" & sounds.

I have the RTi150s which sound best when placed at least 10 inches from the wall. I'd go further out but the room won't allow it.
