Time for more wheelin' pics!!
First obstacle...
Starting up #2, the v-notch...
Puckered up a little on this one...
I let my son Daniel drive for the first time today, after the tuff stuff of course. He had to navigate around and over some decent sized rocks and ended up bending the tie-rod. We repaired it at the lake (elev. 12,260') using a Hi-lift jack handle to keep the ti-rod as straight as possible for the trip down and back home. My motto on this trip was "If you break it, you help fix it." He jumped right in and helped out!!
We made it back down the trail and home again without any other carnage. You can see the jack handle in this shot.
Based on the next pic, this will probably be our last trip up this high till next summer.

Thanks guys!!
A lot of guys don't like the Hi-lift jacks. It's easy to break your jaw if your not careful. I'll never hit the trail without one after todays damage and field repair.
Thinkin' a Polk Offroad Fest is in order!! -
It would be but I left the 4 wheeling scene about 8 years ago when I realized I could only afford one vehicle and I wanted something comfy. I could always bring my mountain bike!polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005
