I might be posting this in the wrong place & if so, sorry, but I recently got my new speakers (see below) for a dolby 7.2 system hooked up & just had to come & say how awesome it sounds. I'd had mix'n'(mis)match speakers on this fairly nice pioneer elite receiver & I knew it could sound better but my wife & I both are very pleasantly surprised. Polk makes very good stuff, my hat's off to yall, thx guys.

Yes, welcome to the forum.
Just curious, why did you chose a LSiC center channel that is timbre matched to the LSi series instead of the CSi5 which is matched to your RTi's and FXi's?Holydoc (Home Theatre Lover)

Thank you janmike, Mike682, nellis8166, & Holydoc for yalls warm welcome. It sure is nice to be 'here' in every sense of the word. Heck yeah!! (love bass), but at the same time, I do realize there's more to audio quality than just that & that balances & the 'big picture' are necessary components of a healthy perspective. The more I listen to this current setup that I have, the more I'm thinking that I might not need 2 more subs. As to why I chose LSiC over CSi5, it indeed was a fairly subjective choosing, but I thought basically this: 1) The psw450 I've had for 2.x years & liked it so much that I decided that when I next bought speakers, they'd all be Polks. (thus, no non-Polk center). 2) I bought my 1st surround-Pioneer amp in '91 & learned pretty quick just how important the center channel is in such systems. If I'd had the $$, I'd prob have selected all the speakers from the LSi series, but alas, I'm really just little-people. In studying Polk's entire lineup, it was seeming to me that the CSi series could handle a bit more power than the LSi series, in general, but it was looking like the reason the LSi series costs more was increased sound accuracy. I was initially thinking that if I could get a seller to seperate a pair of LSi9s (selling me one for $550ish), I'd prefer that, but I was having no luck in that approach, thus the LSiC.
I've read on the board here that Polk's tweeters get better w/time, but despite this, w/only about 5 hours on the speakers, I'm hearing things in my fav music (which I listen to in 'dolby' despite that it's an analog source), & movies (esp in the center channel) that I've never heard before. As center speakers I've used a Sony (marketed as-) center speaker, a decent Sony bookshelf speaker, & a real nice DCM bookshelf speaker, but like I said, I'm hearing a level of quality that's brand new & immediately evident. Crazy, the stuff I've been missing. In defense of the CSi5, I'm betting that if I'd chosen it, it'd also be the best center I've yet heard. It seems to me that Polk is simply awesome, really good stuff. Thanks again the warm welcome everybody, enjoy your 'stuff' - we sure can't take it w/us when we go...Pioneer VSX-36TX DSP THX EX
