I bridged the thing to my sub and I get very little bass output from it. What's the deal?
Thanks

Tell us more about your setup. Re-check all of your wiring (speaker, ground, 12v, etc) and make sure the L/R rca's aren't touching each other etc.

I've check the wiring already, its all fine. The gain is set properly and the LPF is set to around 80 Hz. I can run a pair of 6 x 9s fine though. I guess is doesnt like subs?
-
How, specifically, are the subs wired? Are they DVC?
-
Either youve done something wrong or the amp is broken cause itll run bridged to a sub all day long.
If youre running it off a sub output from the head unit check that the sub channels fader is turned up. Also, some models like my Alpine, have an option the turn the sub off. If yours has this make sure its set to on. I doubt thats the problem cause I assume you are getting some bass.
What sub are you using? is it DVC or SVC?polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

How many ohms is your sub? Running in bridged on that amp, u can't go less than 4.LSIm system on order =D

my HU doesnt have a sub preout.
the sub is a diamond d6 Dual 2 ohm wired to 4 ohms.
my best guess is its a faulty amp, i got it brand new... should i send it in?
it runs my 6x9s fine though... -
If its dual 2 ohms make sure you have it wired properly. If youre running the VC's in parallel youre running a 1 omh load which will shut down that amp pretty quick.
Youre VC's should be wired in series which would be a 4 ohm load. Like this:
This will be 1 ohm mono:

Ooh. That certainly clarifies things for me. I wasn't sure exaclty how to wire it for series/parallel. Cool.George Grand wrote: »

I dont know bro. That sounds weird. If the amp wasnt working right it wouldnt be working your 6x9's right either. Id say you should call Polk customer service and see what they say about it.
