    Definitely love them. As most of the other posts say, much smoother sound. Not as harsh, but there is still a little harshness at high listening levels for me. Normal levels are superb. I thought that the original SL-2000 output was a little too loud compared to the rest of the drivers. Bringing the high frequency output down a little with the 194 is the fix that I needed. I have a pair of SDA-1C. In the past, I used to own the SDA-SRS-2.1 and then the SDA-SRS-1.2TL. I wish I never gave them up.

    What is a "effing hike" and "no affil"?

    "no affil" is no affiliation or connection to the seller. "effing hike" is get lost.

    There are no written rules other than what you read. Therefore, you are at the mercy of those who enforce the unwritten rules. The unwritten rules are those that strive to keep this flea market an in the family kind of thing. A safe haven so to speak, where odds are in your favor that you won't get ripped off or taken advantage of.

    Some folks are more tactful than others in making this known. With all due respect, you either shake it off, adjust and look around to see if this is a place you would like to become a part of. Or you leave with a bad attitude about the place and never return.

    My monitor 10'a use that same tweeter and seems just a bit harsh at the upper most freq, i wrote it off as solid state amp harshness.... what is the tweeter upgrade you guys are talking about and where can I get it??? thanks

    Eugene- call polk and ask for the replacement for the SL-2000. Be sure that you mention that you're a Club Polk member and you can get a discount. Then, after you put in the new tweets, sell your old ones on here, as there are still some people that prefer the old 2k's to the new tweets.

    Mine are the SL-2000 because they are the clear domed ones, I think the peerless were on the first generation monitor's and were all black with the wire leads at an angle???

    Did you pull out the tweeter to read the back of it? It will say what model it is, right on the sticker on the magnet.
