Anyone here a fan of the Doves? I made an impulse decision to go to their show in Chicago last night after finding a super cheap ticket. They put on a great show. They played a good setlist from all three albums they've released. If you've never heard of them, they're a British band somewhat similar to Radiohead, and are much better than Coldplay IMO. VHS or Beta was the opening act. They were OK, but a little too progressive for me.

Pounding is their best song, IMO.

They're too hit or miss with their records and inconsistent. Check out the Decemberists when they roll through. You won't regret it. Should be around Oct, if I remember correctly.

Oh, and do you mean The Beta Band? :p

I enjoy all three of their albums but they don't get played that often. IMO, most of their songs are very good, but there are a few that I don't care for. You have any clips of the Decemberists you could send over? I've never heard of them and will have to check them out.

I'm thinking of going to see Porcupine Tree here on 10/11 but haven't decided yet. I'm really excited about seeing the Black Keys in December.
