Hey i just bought the new ipod nano last week. This thing is awesome! I love it so much i went on ahead and bought the alpine adapter for my truck. Installed it last night and let me say my first impression is this thing sounds better than cd's. It is awesome i installed it on the back of my glove box, so i could access it from the glove box. I am still running the alpine 9833 from last year's head unit. This thing does a good job of helping you sort thought the playlist, albums and songs. Overall the sound quality exceeded my expections, glad i bought the alpine adapter it was worth every penny.

I just bought the ipod adaptor too, use it with a 9831. Well I would if I had an iPod... But that will come soon! Yeah I'd agree, the sound quality is great, its just that $99 is about $50 too much in my opinion for what is involved. But you do get what you pay for, so maybe it isn't so bad.

I will pretty much just use playlists, but the interface is pretty good overall considering the amount of info available. It would be nice to see what they do when you have a 5 or 7 inch LCD HU though. Would be cool to see a double din with the ipod wheel too. (hint hint Alpine!)

I want to get an Ipod. I spend hours in these grocery stores putting up beer with nothing but Muzak to listen to. With most radio talk shows podcasting now not to mention being able to put 500 songs on one, it would make my work day much more enjoyable.

I went and looked at some today at Circuit City thinking they were like $75 or something. They START at $200! Yikes, I guess I need to wait a while. ;)

I bought the ipod shuffle for my son and he loves it. I sometimes take it with me when I go jogging. This little thing is great. The only thing is that the shuffle cannot be used with the aftermarket adaptor that also conrtols it, it has to be one the bigger ipods :(.

I plan on getting an ipod for me later on, and using it with my Pioneer HU.

I will take that back far as me saying a ipod sounds better than cd quality cd's. What i meant to say is it sounds much better than mp3's burned on cd's.
