db`s or momo`s

I have been looking at the new db212-2, and was wondering if they would be worth getting.
Would the momo`s be that much better as far as SQ.?

I have been reading a lot of good things about this sub/box..

I will be using the C5oo.1 for sub duty..

I will be getting momo`s , or I might wait for the new SR 5.25`s to come out.
I would like to get the SR`s, but could get two pair of momo`s for the price of one SR...and I understand the momo`s sound pretty damn good..

Thanks for your input. :D

Im not familiar with that amp but as long as youre not running over 720 watts to them youll be just fine.

Thats a beautiful box too. If I had the room to put one Id buy one in a heartbeat. By far and away the best looking box on the market!

Thatll be fine then. You could even go a little more but that amp is likely underrated so I would guess 450 would be the likely power output. That wont push them to their fullest potential but will give em a solid workout.

What's it made out of? Is that 'decoration' removable? Wouldn't it hamper ventilation?

ah, you typed in all caps, naughty naughty... and the 'decoration' is actually the heatsink of the amp, just moulded into that shape...

Very much so. They arent as good as they used to be but are still reliable and solid amps. In fact they are on my short list for amp upgrades in the near future.

I would still give Crossfires a slight edge for the simple fact they are powerhouse amps. My little 50x4 and 300x1 amps are more than a match for my speakers and sub. I can run em at high volume for hours and they stay very cool!

Plus theyre built like a brick **** house! Ive accidentally shorted speaker and power wires several times and they not so much as whimpered.
