JetBlue emergency landing on plane's onboard sat TV system

That must've been surreal....seeing your own plane in trouble while you're inside it. The pilot did a great job though. My only experience with JetBlue was a roundtrip from Oakland to Washington DC and this airline is a class act.

    that was a Sweet landing. Dead balls straight, floated the front wheels down slow, and used virtually all the runway in the slowdown to reduce weighting of the front gear. I'd say 145 people owe that guy a beer!!!!!

    AGREED. That landing was EXCELLENT. I wonder what percentage of commecial pilots would have pulled that off in that manner.

    Hopefully all of them. I am not trying to discount an excellent landing under less than ideal circumstances, but that is what they are trained for. Holding the nose wheel off the ground as long as possible is a basic private pilot manuever that has to be passed on an FAA checkride, so for these guys it should be no problem. In case you are wondering how I know, I am an airline pilot. That being said, they did a great job and I am sure they knocked a few back that night.

    It would be awfully freaky watching from the inside.
