Need to wire for my deck speakers, and came into this question.....Any disadvantages of using a 4 conductor cable? Just checking...I only see advantages, so thought I would ask....

Cost would be the only disadvantage that I could see. Other than that, I would do it most places as well. I'm not even going to start a debate on the benefits of bi-wiring or bi-amping.Tschüss

Well....I don't think I explained myself......I am thinking of using the 4 conductors cable for a pair of speakers....two wires for one, two wires for the other......
Not thinking on bi-wiring or bi-amping..._________________________________________________

I figured that is what you meant, but most often, 4 conductor wire is used when you might want to bi- later. One other caution I would use for 4cond wire is the contact/surface area. I find it a little harder make really good conections. 2 cond wire makes it easier sometimes. It just depends on how managable the wire is to begin with.Tschüss
