SOLD!!!!

Seeing that I couldn't pass on Mark's(DORO) generousity, I had to buy his SRS2s. Now I'm in a predicament, as I now have 3 big **** sets of speakers and I came home with more gear than I left with :D . Needless to say, the misses doesn't see the humor, in that last statemant. She's okay, though, if I can get rid of at least one pair.

I'll have Faster's SDA 1Bs in a couple of days. They have all new drivers and silk tweeters in both sides. They are supposed to be in great shape. I have $500 in them and will do pickup only. I'm not trying to make anything, but I also can't afford to lose anything, either. I will deliver within 2 hours of Indianapolis for free.

Pics are in a listing here, that Faster did a while back. Seeing that they are not here and I don't want to unpack them when they do arrive, I won't be posting any. If I deliver them, and upon insection, there is a problem, then we'll deal with that then. I don't think there will be any problems, since Cliff spent a week searching for packing materials and in boxing them up.

$500 delivered within 2 hours or so of Indianapolis. I will not EBay them, don't play that game. They will, however, be in the Indy Star for $650 obo. That may be high for here(CP), but when I see people selling JBLs , Cerwins, and worse for more around here(INDY), I think that's a good place to start, knowing that I'll have to reduce it anyways.

I played hell selling them on here but because of size and no shipping, providing fed ex doesnt screw them up they should be able to be shipped back out in the boxes they are packed in.. I spent a week trying to find the best price on packing materials.. it aint cheap on that size item.. Good luck noel, sorry to see them go already before ya even tried them..

Grab em, someone close will get a nice set of speakers owned by the legendary faster100, ran on tubes most of their stay here.. :D

although they are kinda spoiled, they told me they liked the 12ax7/6x4 combo but loved the 7308's the best!! they are ready for 25 more years of service being all the drivers are brand new and tweets are the sweet new silks..

Good luck noel, just alittle sales pitch for ya ;)

    HTR,

They are alot more efficient than people give them credit for. You can drive them to fairly high levels with a DECENT receiver. Of course you'd want to upgrade in the future, but I wouldn't let a set this nice and that close to you get away. I'm not just saying that because they are mine either. I most likely won't have too much of a problem once the newspaper ad starts. Let me know, we can work something out I'm sure :) I'd rather keep them in the famdamnly :D

Good luck with your sale. You might consider Chicago craigslist if nothing happens here. I've seen postings from Indiana folks there.

Nice score on the SRS's Noel....I'd be all over your 1B's except I will have some cash flow issues thru the end of the year. Good luck, I wish I could swing it becasue I'm probably about 2-3 hours away I could have easily met you half way. So how do those SRS's sound anyways? :)

Just met HTrookie(Ricardo). Really cool man. He's very excited about the 1Bs. Who can blame him. It will be his first SDA experience, and I can't think of a better way to start out than with a set of 1Bs with all new drivers and silk tweets. He said he had alot going an today and wouldn't get them hooked up til Sunday. I told him , YEAH RIGHT :D , you'll be up all night playing with them ;) . He's got a Denon avr to drive them until his HK3480 arrives from Harmon, which should be Monday or so. He's also got an Adcom coming, but I'm not too sure it's going to be of any benefit to him, seeing that it's like 55 or 60 wpc and the HK is 120 @ 8ohms. I'm not sure, but I think the 1Bs are 4 or 6 ohm speakers, so he will be pushing quite a bit more. Anyways, it'll be a great way for him to get his first SDA experience.

This is the way our FM is supposed to work. I help out a bud and another helps me out and so on and so on.

Nice to meet you Ricardo, hope to see you again, soon. Maybe at the East Tennessee meet at Shack's. The ride down, if I can make it, is an open invitation :) .

    I LOVE THIS PLACE !!!!!!!!!

Ok; unpacked them; here are some pictures (The girl in one of them is my 10 y/old daughter...she cannot see a camera without getting in the way...)

    A couple of comments:

NO INTERCONNECT; Faster100; in your original "for sale" post you mentioned that a home made was included...do you still have it? If not, I will need some instructions on how to make one...are those spade connectors available somewhere??

As mentioned also in the original FS post.....a few dents and chips in the back

A couple of the tweeters had loose screws, probably from the whole moving movements...tried to screw them in but there's nothing to hold them in the other side....this will require some detailed work to fix it.

Other than that, they look great.....

Is it a blade/blade? If so I have one that you can use that goes to my 2Bs that aren't being utilized right at the moment.
