They are SDA-SRS 2.3's. You can tell by the two donuts on the upper and lower mids on the SDA drivers. These retailed for $2200 in 1989 and from my research go for $611 to $700 depending on condition. A pair just sold on ebay last week for $660.2 ch rig:
Parasound Halo A21 amp
Wyred4Sound DAC2
Audiophilleo 2
Dodd Audio Tube Preamp
Parasound Halo P3 Preamp
Mac Mini + Amarra, Audirvana Plus, Pure Music
2TB External HD
PS Audio P3
Rotel RCD1072 cd player
Polk SDA-SRS 2.3 Speakers -
They are also the earlier 2.3's. The difference is the dougnut on the top arrays of 4. Also, as sitting you would say they are set up backwards. They are not. The early ones were reversed. Although I've heard they sound as good as newer ones these are all good points to knock the price down. I'm guessing something below 1K but you should look further for the proper price to give.
madmaxVinyl, the final frontier...
Avantgarde horns, 300b tubes, thats the kinda crap I want... -
You need to also find out if the interconnect cable is with them as well.2 ch rig:

2.3s for $600-$700? Buy them.
You couldn't touch mine for less than a grand if I ever decided to sell them. -
Bob, would you use thes as fronts over the RT3000P's? I currently have the RT5000 system and a set of RT20P's for the rears. Thanks for the reply's

No, I wouldn't/don't.
The 3000s are my HT fronts. For this duty they are excellent. I tried them against the 2.3s for 2ch duty and the 2.3s won hands down. And now that the 2.3s are pretty much completely updated/upgraded....
I use the 2.3s and Amazings for serious 2ch duty only in my house and that takes precedent over HT here.
On the other hand, have I tried the 2.3s as fronts on my HT? No. Will I? Maybe but probably not. Would they work fine in this position powered by the Counter Point Solid 2 Amp? I'm sure they would but why waste such a good 2ch speaker on a HT system when I don't have to.
Aside: IMO the Solid 2 Amp is a waste on the HT but that's just me. I may swap it into my secondary 2ch rig at some point or build another 2ch rig around it and the Amazings. Hummmmmm.... -
5.1 MUSIC (high -res) is worthy of the best system you can put together. A good 5.1 MUSIC system will also do very well for 2 ch stereo and HT.
Ust my 2 cents, Phil -
Shipping costs consideration is also recommended....these aren't light..Rich
