I have narrowed my choices down to:
HSU VTF-MK2
HSU STF-2
SVS PB10
I currently have a PSW303, how much will these out perform my 303, other than they have a 10" driver in them?

I'll be keeping an eye on this thread, also, as I don't know a lot about subwoofers and will be looking to get one some day - I hope.
I've also been drawn to HSU's subs; they seem to be pretty nice. I'd also like to know if the VTF series' port tuning technology is worth the extra cost. It seems to me (am I wrong?) that the STF can do just as well as the VTF, it's just that you can tune the VTF for SPL or lower response.
I can't comment on how the three you're looking at compare, as I don't know much abotu subs, but I can definitely tell you that any of them will walk all over that PSW 303 you have. It's absolutely no contest.George Grand wrote: »

I have an Outlaw LFM-1 (Hsu design) and an SVS PC Ultra 25-31. They are both excellent subs. I find the SVS to have an edge in the HT department and the LFM to have an edge in music. The LFM has a tighter more refined sound and will suit you very well for both movies and HT. The SVS goes lower and has a little more kick for HT. I probably would have ended up with two LFMs but my HT did not have the space for another box.Sharp Elite 70

I have neither of which you mentioned, butr I will tell you this, I had the 202 and now have s10.2 and there is no match what so ever. So I can only imagine any of those would not just be an upgrade to the sub but to your overall system.

I will say for home theatre this SVS of mine is great.
For music I tend to turn it down a bit because it comes on too strong sometimes. It depends on each song and source and even different radio stations.

Also if you purchase from anyone especially svs I suggest talking with them to see just how much sub you really need. I took a guess at which one I needed and now the gain (volume) is hardly past 12:00 due to the power of the beast.Denon #2900, Denon stereo receiver, Conrad Johnson Sonographe 120 amp, Blue Jeans cables, and Klipsch RF-7's -
I can only speak for the SVS PB10-ISD; I am very happy with it; use it mainly for HT, and in some action scenes it actually rocks the house.....great sub for the money._________________________________________________

if I was to upgrade subs- which I wouldn't- this is the one I would get. -

I like the colors it comes in. Especially the tan/sand color....it would blend right into our living room.Denon #2900, Denon stereo receiver, Conrad Johnson Sonographe 120 amp, Blue Jeans cables, and Klipsch RF-7's -
I have heard nothing but good things about HSU and SVS. That being said, I would not give up my SVS for anything. (except maybe an svs ultra or an IB sub....)
