Surrounds only for music: Fxi5 or Rti 6?
My system is only for music. I have the Rti6, but I don´t know, is there a great diference between the Rti6 or Fxi5 for surrounds in music?. Which is better?
A friend told me: "Rti6 are better".

i know i'll get flamed for this - but i still say the fx's in BIPOLE mode.
The rti6's would be kickass too- but imo would just call too much attention to themselves. Direct sound mixed with semi-diffuse ambience is a good thing. -
the only thing i like about the fxi5 is obviously the extra tweet. i just love me them highs!!!

that's a nice setup you got BIzill. HUGE speakers all the way around- a testament to the amps in Harman Kardon products. Nice.

aaharvel, only problem is that the power theater seats i have coming may screw up my setup. i just may have to go with fxi5's instead. but i'm sure those will be nice as well. i should receive my seats withing two weeks. i'll move things all around and see what becomes of it all. everything in my kitchen is stainless and black. kitchen opens up into the family room (my home theater room) and all audio/video components are black and silver. i just had to have black leather seats next!

Tequila, I have the fxi5's for both music & HT. They are absolutely awesome sounding. At times I will actually turn off my mains & only listen to the fx's. Trust me they could be used as mains because they sound so good. I tried monitors for the surrounds but they were just to direct & in my face for my tastes. IMO fx's all the way!"2 Channel & 11.2 HT "Two Channel:Magnepan LRSSchiit Audio Freya S - SS preConsonance Ref 50 - Tube preParasound HALO A21+ 2 channel ampBluesound NODE 2i streameriFi NEO iDSD DAC Oppo BDP-93KEF KC62 sub Home Theater:Full blown 11.2 set up.

I know it wasn't one of your choices but I say 2 fronts only for music.
