Anyone have any experience with this...

I'm hoping I can get a general idea of what might be wrong, if anything. And to see if anyone else has experienced similar with their gear regardless of brand.
As of late it seems my system has become a whole lot brighter than before. The system is in my sig and the amp/pre-amp are 18-19 years old. I've read many things on the internet about biasing and its roll in controlling feedback which in turn keeps the output signal in check, so to speak. I am also aware that if said biasing is out of 'spec' it can cause a system to sound grainy and add glare, which is what I have been experiencing lately. Something just seems off in the system. Maybe I'm crazy or maybe something needs to be serviced and specs checked.
Can anyone confirm that this can happen? Anyone have this happen? Where do I start to trouble shoot this? It seems to have been very gradual and lately it seems it's getting less and less enjoyable to listen to. I have changed nothing in the sytem recently and it's been going along great until recently.

Have you changed any furniture around the room lately or maybe removed carpet?
I'm just thinking room treatments because it can have a lot to do with how a system sounds.Denon #2900, Denon stereo receiver, Conrad Johnson Sonographe 120 amp, Blue Jeans cables, and Klipsch RF-7's -
