I'm still waiting for my local dealer to get the SurroundBars in stock so I can check them out. I am hoping to pair it up with a plasma in a room that is speaker-placement challenged (due to room layout & spouse factors).

Any recommendations for a small sub to pair with this in a small room (13' x 14' with 9' ceilings)?

I heard the surround bar at polk, and I even asked which sub they were using but I can't remember now. I think it was a medium level sub, polk obviously. Maybe someone else who visited polk can tell you. Welcome to the forums!

yea, I am pretty sure it was a 404, which relpaced the 450 in the line. The receiver was an Onk, so you see, receivers do it for HT surround bars.

One other word of caution on this thing. For movies it works pretty well giving an all around sound field but on dedicated channel items (SACD, etc) it worked very poorly from my experience. If you have the "Blue Man Group" DVD, listen to the 5.1 musical tracks on a dedicated 5.1 then the surround bar. This was the demo that moved my to only going with the soundbar for ambiant noise during movies.

It is MUCH better than 2-channel, but not anywhere close to a matching 5.1 setup.
