The New Chevy HHR looks very similiar to the front of a Chrysler PTC and the rear tails of a Jeep Liberty.

it sure does. might have something to do with Bob Lutz. He was a Chrysler Ex VP who retired, but then hopped aboard GM. He has alot of say and control over new car designs. I dont know if it is a good idea, or desperation. remember, the PT Cruiser was a HUGE success for Chrysler when they released it.

It has more to do with the "nostalgia" trend in autos than copying Chrysler....

I think that the real problem is that the Chevy is designed to look like an old Chevy while the Chrysler is also designed to look like an old Chevy. Can't really fault Chevy if they had the original design over 50 years ago

I saw one of those the other day and it didn't completely turn me off.

It looked more like their ugly truck, but with a covered backend......

Until I read this thread I had only seen the TV comercial. And I actually thought it WAS just a different PT Cruiser model. I didn't even think of the chrysler vs chevy. And now that it's mentioned, the PT does look like an old chevy. (shouldn't a retro chrysler look more like an AMC pacer?)
