with all the podcasting around, is there any for people like us (audiophiles)? if not someone with more knowledge than me should try...

    I'm not clear what you are asking or suggesting. If it's that a iPod product is capable of high fidelity, the answer is no. IMO.

    No, a podcast is rather like a home-grown radio broadcast, made into an MP3 or other compressed format, which iPod users download and listen to.

    A podcast is not at all limited to iPod users. You can listen to a podcast with simple software downloaded to your comp. I think tkn is talking about someone throwing together something like a weekly audio show for the masses...

    exactly my point...I've heard podcasts about everything except about audio related stuff, a podcast talking about polk related products, amps, diy stuff, gatherings, even the flea market...now wouldn't that be something....I don't know stuff about audio to do it, but gosh would I listen to it....

    One cool thing is if you listen to talk radio but dont get to listen to all of your favorites, a lot of those are podcasting so you can download a show and then listen to it while you workout or driver to work or whatever.
