I've been watching a few of these, and have seen some of the shows in the past on Cable and these people are absolutely amazing at some of the stuff they can do. The themes are pretty abstract, but by no means boring.
Bravo is running a few of them today......definitely worth a look for something out of the ordinary......

They're all different themes (if you can call them that), but TRUST, you will be in awe of some of the stuff that these people can do on stage, or in the air.
The pure talent that these athletes possess (many shows being made up of a talent pool from 10+ different countries) is nothing short of extraordinary.
If you happen to see one that you don't particularily enjoy, don't let that cause you not to check out the others. Some have more unusual costumes than others, but IMO every show has stuff in it that will put you an a state of disbelief.comment comment comment comment. bitchy. -

Yeah it's pretty awesome. They used to show it on Bravo HD until it became Universal HD.

Did you know that all the artists of the Cirque Du Soleil are picked up from the streets..? They have a Foundation or something like that to rehab poor/addict poeple and make them excellent performers...
As far as I'm concern they're doing one hell of a job!!!
that's what I read...<|> -
I don't know that I could see that being true....
Those people are top of their class in this stuff, and it's not something that you can just grab someone off the street and make them do.......who knows.comment comment comment comment. bitchy. -

I bought a cirque movie when I was in vegas. It's was great don't expect DD or DTS unless they have changed. But well worth it if you can't see it live.
Cirque Du Soleil, a good thing to come out of Canada, besides maple syrop. -

LOL! Willow that's something I would say. Does this mean we're addicted to surround sound? -

Hey man, why not? Just because somebody is on drugs that doesn't mean they can't be a talented person... with trainning and patience you can achieve great things... don't be so closed minded<|> -

I can take sarcasm, I have no problem with that... I think somebody's addiction is not something to laugh about...
I bet you that an addicted person will not take your sarcasm... and if I happened to be addicted to drugs I WILL NOT take your sarcasm either...
Just leave it here ok...<|> -

In that case you can be sarcastic about yourself, not about other people...

Took the wife and daughter Saturday night and saw Quidam here in Long Beach, next to the Queen Mary.
We burned up most of Saturday touring the RMS Queen Mary, the 270+ Titanic artifact exhibition, plus, we toured the Russian Attack Submarine "Scorpion". Never been on board a sub before, very cool and freaky at the same time.
Back to Quidam, what an impressive show. This was our second, we saw Alegira many years ago. My daughter had never been so at 9 she was awe struck by it. The things these people do and what they make their bodies do is nothing short of incredible. I even walked away with a new briefcase, if you want to call it that. The "Big Top Bag", made from one of the actual big top tents. Been looking for a new bag for a long time, finally found one I like.

Sweet we have tickets for the show in Ottawa in June, I can't wait. Not cheap, as we bought tickets 3 rows from the front. I also signed up for their newsletters and they sent me a link to print off. It gives us the chance to upgrade our tickets when we get there, it's first come first serve. -
We tried to upgrade as well, got there 2 hours before show time and they were gone. You have to get there when they first open the on-site box office, depending on your showtime that could be very early.
I prefer not to sit up close, it's hard to get a good view of the entire stage and all that is going on. Even during isolated preformances they have other stuff going on all over the stage most of the time. I usually sit about 10-15 rows back.
In August and again in November we are going to Vegas so I'll be getting tickets for the shows there as well. They are expensive but so very worth it. They put on shows that you'll never forget.If...

That's why we jumped on the tickets. 6 yrs ago when I went to Vegas, we got a backstage tour of the "O" stage. I wish they had some perm. shows in our area. or more shows more often. -
Getting an upgrade on seating is really no problem, the secret is just getting there late and letting the show clowns seat you.
They had one lady upgraded all the way to be seated on stage when I was there.polkaudio SRS (rdo194 x 8)
