Im putting together a system for the bedroom and was wondering if anyone had used the R20 as a center or perhaps the R15 and if its recommended etc. In theory the R20 should be an excellent match.

in theory....it's just an r15 with more bass extension...or midrange bass extension. I still think going with a dedicated CS1 or the csi25 (link in Flea market somewhere..) would be a better choice.

Someone over at AVS (or was it here?) used 2 R15s as centers front and back in a 6.1 arrangement and wasn't particularly pleased for HT. Probably fine for music. He replaced it with a CS1 and moved to 7.1, much happier IIRC.

For HT usage (I prefer no center for music), I have tried both R20s and R15s with my R50s, the R20s worked better, and 2 R20s worked a little better than 1 R20. There was something about the tonal quality of the R20 as a center, that would take me a minute or two to get used to, before my hearing would adjust, and things would sound right. Having said that, I did feel the 2 R20s as a center worked better with the R50s than a CSi40.
