My collection of DVDs and CDs is getting too large to keep out on display. I'll have to store some in boxes. But want a good way to track what I have without having to open them up. I know a good ole excel file could do the trick, but does anyone have any suggestions on good software to catalogue a dvd and / or cd collection? thanks

Search the net. I'm not sure where it was, but someone in this forum had thier collection on-line. I looked at it a bit, but my collection wasn't really big enough to justify it. This site allowed you to enter your collection, when you click the movie, it gives you a detailed bio on film (same kind of stuff you see when you shop for a dvd). It was pretty cool.

I use Advanced Disk Catalog for my archiving needs. It is mostly for cataloging contents of cd/dvds however. Posted for you and perhaps others that like to catalog various computer related files =)
