(when he's not in the forum, and only has one hand on the keyboard).

I used to love Iron Maiden. I kind of grew out of them though. He does have lighting fast fingers, but not enough feeling for my current taste. I'm more of a santana kind of guy now.

i used to be a fan of Dream Theater- i still like their music somewhat- but have moved on from the hard-rock genre. Their slower stuff is still great however.

Ironically, I've gotten into listening to Dream Theater, I like their stuff, Scenes From a Memory has some aspects to it that I'll never hear on the radio, I like hearing things that break the norm... always.

You should try 1991's Streets: A Rock Opera from Savatage. Although I don't like the band anymore (prob. because I don't like the genre anymore) that's still a great album that's based around a story of a homeless person and his road to salvation. Pretty good stuff if you ask me.

Dream Theater RULES!! The best band on the planet. Theyve been my #1 band since 1993!

Aaharvel - Dude, good to see another Savatage fan in here! I know exactly what you mean tho about them losing steam. Jon Oliva is a horrible singer and yet when they lose a great singer, they stick Oliva back in front of the mike. Still their music makes up for it. Ive bought every one of their albums as theyve come out for about 15 years now and will continue to do so. Their last one was very good despite Olivas horrible singing.

Hell yeah! I f*cking love Blind Guardian. I have "Somewhere Far Beyond" and "The Forgotten Tales". I'm more into modern power metal but decided to try out BG just to see what earlier power metal was like and they're awesome.

The modern power metal I listen to are Edguy, Nightwish, Kamelot, etc. But I'm more into black and death metal. My favorite band is Cradle of Filth.

actually it was John Oliva I liked (while in his prime). It was the replacement singer Zach Stephens that I didn't like. Starting with Edge Of Thorns- the band lost their grittiness and in essence the storytelling that's in their songs. When Zach left and John came back- it was better- but not like it was. The last album i've heard from them is Magellean and that was like 5years ago. I have no idea what they're doing now nor do I care.

Streets: A Rock Opera. That's the way I want to remember them. I recommend anyone into rock with heavy classical influence and a gripping story to boot to check this one out. It's still good after 14 years. :)

Yes they did. And I post this openly: I'm only thirteen. Lenience for little children.(who listen to hard rock) And by the way, Iron Maiden's still doing great, but I did like John Petrucci.
