Crown XS700 amp

I got this amp last week, it has about 10 hours on it. I made a bad purchase on this one, the fan is too loud for my low level listening, which is about 90% of the time. Got it on Ebay brand new for 610.00 shipped, will sell it for 525.00 shipped or best offer. Need some huge power, here it is.

    Having once owned a crown amplifier many years ago, I can say that they are virtually indestructable !!
    JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

    I take it that the fan is always on (not a thermal kick-in)?

    Yes, as soon as you turn it on, the fan is on, if I had way of putting it somewhere out of way I would.

    It was suggested I clip the fan wires or if I can disconnect the fan, might try that if I can't move it along.

    This amp has some balls, driving my new subwoofers very nice.

    huh... yeah I'd be interested if I had a wiring closet, but there's no way I could put up with that in the mean time. Anyhow, I've seen plenty on Audiogon- those guys are the same as us... someone who wants to do a DIY will pick it up. Or put in the local classifieds under "Musical Instruments"
