It's a Ming Da MC88-C integrated. A push/pull design using 2 KT88's and 2 12AU7's per channel along with a single 12AX7. 50 WPC in ultralinear or 35 WPC in triode. The sucker weighs almost 50 lbs. It's just got the stock tubes so I'll have to replace them with something decent but so far it looks and sounds like a keeper. ;)
2 channel - Willsenton R8 tube integrated, Holo Audio Spring 3 KTE DAC, audio optimized NUC7i5, Windows 10 Pro/JRiver MC29/Fidelizer Plus 8.7 w/LPS and external SSD drive, PS Audio PerfectWave P3 regenerator, KEF R3 speakers, Rythmik F12SE subwoofer, Audioquest Diamond USB cable, Gabriel Gold IC's, Morrow Audio SP5 speaker cables. Computer - Windows 10/JRiver, Schiit Magni 3+/Modi 3+, Fostex PMO.4n monitors, Sennheiser HD600 headphones

Yeah, it's one of those japan jobbies....only from China :D I got it used locally for $565. Tubes will probably set me back another $250 or so though.

See what you could've got for your money instead of a PC, Noel? :p

Yeah, but if I don't have a home pc at home, soon, I won't be able to correspond with all of you nuts :p . I still have my eye on one of the ASLs, because they are pure Class A and have a remote and a sub-out. There's a AQ 1001 DT and an AQ 1003 DT I can get for a reasonable price and I think either will drive the SDA 1B or 2B with more than enough authority for me. It's most high up on the priority list.

That's gonna be my next major step. Well, maybe not my next one. But I hope so.

Yeah, I was seriously looking at a couple of the ASL 1001 DT's over at Audiogon myself. One of them went right after the seller emailed me back with the shipped cost. I'm happy though. I just ordered a new quad of JJ KT88's which are supposed to be pretty well liked. If all goes well I guess I'll be selling my Conrad Johnson Sonographe and my Dodd ELP.

I'm not positive on the brand but this is from their website:

"vacuum valves are domestic Shuguang brand mating valves and imported valves from Russia, Czech and America, and only those whose electric aging time is more than 60h are chosen."

    whatever that means

Regardless, I just spent $132 for a new quad of JJ's so I hope they are better. All I need now is a quad of 12AU7's...prefereably Amperex...and I'll be set. Then if I don't like it better than my current setup I'll just put it up on Audiogon, but at least I'll have gotten the opportunity to audition and compare it.

If or when your ready to sell the Dodd ELP or the CJ for that matter look me up. If I can pay off my new CDP - when ever it shows up, I might be in the marked for a tube pre.
