Home Theater Audio Advice - RT 400 ??

I have 12 yr old RT400's as my stereo speakers. I've been satisfied with them. I'm going to get a home theater set up - probably a 6.1. Would you suggest I use these as my fronts? Or would I be better off getting a set of current day speakers all matched to each other? If they are worth using, which speakers should I match them with in today's Polk line at the approx same audio quality?

Thanks
Brad

Your not going to find anything made now that'll match.

The 400's are GREAT speakers. They were one of the two Polk speakers I fell in love with, popped my Polk cherry if you will. The RT400, and the RT7.

Look for soft/polymer dome vintage Polk speakers to match. A CS200, and RT3 would be the PERFECT match. On that note, the new Monitor and RTi series won't be TOO far off either.

Nutshelled, you can certainly build a GREAT home theater rig around the 400's, don't put them out to pasture yet - and if you decide to - give me a shout.

    Cheers,
