The problem is that HE is the one who dredged up this thread (after SIX years). So no one would have EVER been the wiser if he'd have just not said a thing.
It's either one of two things, for whatever reason Dolt comes over here and does a search for either AudioKarma or his name......the former being only slightly less self-absorbed than the latter.....and then proceeds to defend his six-year old tarnished honor.
Laughable. You can't pay for entertainment this good.

Reminds me of the stupid woman that fell into the mall fountain while talking on her cell phone...then after the video came out where the person was basically unrecognizable speaks out and says (paraphrasing here) "I am the idiot in that video"."Just because youre offended doesnt mean youre right." - Ricky Gervais

I have to say that I heard unexpectedly good sound coming from a pair of Technics SB-7070 fed through a Technics SA-500 Receiver. Any exprience with these?design is where science and art break even. -

Wow talk about holding a grudge 6 years? If everyone has forgot then let it lie. I truly think anyone that dredges up a 6 year old thread to restart a feud is mentally unstable.
AK has some great people as well as some losers, it does seem to have turned into a place where a lot of bad information can be had and mediocrity rules.
Who need 30 average pairs of speakers or receivers etc? Some of the vintage stuff is cool and some even sounds good but the general consenus that just because its old makes it better is BS.
I suppose that if you have never heard anything decent then a pair of Pioneer HPM speakers may be considered great but in reality they suck almost as bad as the Sansui SPX kabuki style speakers do, hell a pair of Bose 901's will kick the crap out of them soundwise but try and say that that crowd and it may get you banned
I have been a member there longer than here to be honest, its like anywhere else glean the useful info share yours and discard the rest.
REGARDS SNOWWell, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all -
