I am new to the forum and have made my final decision to go with PolkAudio for my home theater speakers. I need some quality professional help deciding on what configuration would work the best.

I have a small living room (11 X 12.5, 8’ ceiling and wood floors) with a seven foot long contemporary TV stand, which has a 50” DLP on it. In addition, my exterior walls are concrete block (older home).

I have spent a couple hours on the internet reading about surround sound speakers mounted in the ceiling and I have come up with two configurations that work the best, but I need some professional help making the final decision. I am planning to go with a 7.1 configuration.

Configuration A:

Center – LC80i (ceiling)
Front L/R – LC80i (ceiling)
Surround L/R – LC60i (ceiling)
Surround Back L/R – LC60i (ceiling)
Subwoofer
* My wife prefers this configuration because she could add shelves.

Configuration B:

Center – LC265i or TC265i
Front L/R – LC265i or TC265i
Surround L/R – LC60i (ceiling)
Surround Back L/R – LC60i (ceiling)
Subwoofer
* I still need to make sure if I can fit the LC265i or TC265i for the center speaker. Also I am not sure if the LC265i is in my budget.

My primary concern is the quality of a surround sound. Can someone at PolkAudio and/or forum goers please advise. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated. I look forward to everyone responses.

Thank you,
