I just got back from having dinner at my siter-in-laws house..

I got tired of seeing her cheesy little yamaha cubes for her surround system, so I brought over a 245i,a pair of RT35i`s, and a pair of RT15i`s, and a spool of wire...and hooked her up..!! :)

Her AVR really blows, but I`ve got to draw the line somewhere...
It only does Pro logic II enhanced mode, but I`m not giving up my Yammie.... :(

I`ll just talk her into upgrading a little later.....right?!

Ya done good! What you can do is bring over your yammie & have her listen to the difference, then offer to go with her to help her pick out a good one within her budget that you will help her to decide upon. That way you get more points for good deeds & she gets a good reciever that she can grow with.

Tell her to register here or you can offer to keep an eye out on the FM for her & can get her something from here. Then she just has to pay you back!

Nice deed. I have for many years (too many to count) purchased a new computer approx. every 3 years. The old one always goes to someone that is less fortunate than myself and honestly cannot afford one, but would dearly love one. That warm and fuzzy feeling. Doing it anonymously is my preference.

    Thanks Ms. Frizz..

I know she will end up with either my yammie , or something else that I get her...
I have a hard time dealing with the fact that someone I know is missing out on good sound....I just gotta show them what they are missing....show them the Polk Light as it were.... ;)

I had another friend come by yesterday and I gave him a pair for his garage, but I know they will be in the main rig in the house..!!
He had some 1970 jbl/pioneer boxes that really sound....well...cheap...
and one of them was blown, so .......today he`s playin with Polks...!! :)

I also gave him some yamaha`s for his garage this morning....they were pretty good sounding for a garage type environment...

I know what your thinking, but with all the bad things happening to me lately, I figure that if I spread some music around, maybe the Powers that be will lighten up on me... ;)

    Beardog,

It will get better. You have had a tough go lately and hung on through it. That takes courage. My hat goes off to you.

The weather is beginning to turn, it does that very quickly up here. Today is 11C (51.8F), but you get acclimatized to that very quickly. Either that or you leave. Snow will be here before the end of the month, with still a little time to do a some fishing before the ice. Then it is ice fishing time. I will get a little break from the weather as I head to Ontario (Toronto & Ottawa) in a week and the weather will probably be in the mid 70's by the time I arrive. My travel to the cities in Canada reinforces the idea that I do live in a great place. No major weather (earthquakes, tornados, hurricanes) here other than cold. I can prepare for that, the other I cannot. I know the city of Yellowknife is banding together to send assistance to New Orleans. Makes you feel good.
