Well I have just had the offer to stay at a lake front house in the heart of Whistler, BC. I've been there before as the people that own the house are family friends. As some of you might know Whistler is known for its skiing, beautiful nature and bike trails. Since it is summer and I just got msyelf a new bike (norco manik) and it just happens to be the fact that my mom picked up a bike rack for her car last week I get to take my new bike to go ride Whistler!!! Now I'm not super hardcore or anything so this will be quite the experiance to be able to ride one of the best places in the world. I'm really hoping I come back in once piece, but myself anticipating danger I will be wearing as much armor as possible Goggles, full face helmet I borrowed, shin pads, gloves, the whole deal. I'm leaving saturday morning and coming back monday (school on tuesday  ). Wish me luck!

Mike, be careful man. That is a gorgeous looking place. I could "almost" see myself moving up there."SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,

O yeah I'd move up there in an instant... if I had the cash. Stuff up there is crazy expensive. Aparently the people I'll be riding with are a little crazy, as in lets see if we can do more than 15 double black diamond runs today... so hopefully they'll tame it down a little for me He also said he usually keeps the drops under around 4 or 5 feet so that helps a little too. I'm leaving in 15 minutes, so I'll see ya in a few days people.

Enjoy and have a nice weekend, I would say a holiday weekend, but I don't think that Canada celebrates our Labor Day, do they?"SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,

Yeah we had a long weekend. Monday is our labor day. The trip was awesome as I managed to get a ride in today before I had to take off for home. It rained the first two days but was beautiful the last day (monday). The rain wasn't too bad though because that ment a lot of veging in front of the nice warm fireplace. Some details in this thread. Wow I'll be sore tomorrow
Summer's over for me... back at school on tuesday Hopefully this year won't be too bad as it will be my grad year (grade 12) and my courses are awesome. Can't wait to go up there again as well as a more local mountain (Grouse Mountain) for some snowboarding!!! Doesn't get much better than that; I have an offer to go up there and stay in a really nice cabin / house for free.
