What response do you have for your wife?

The situation is: You have your big SDAs or high end speakers singing nicely at a high volume with the power supply that you lusted for years to get . And the wife or significant other yells from the other room in a nasty tone: "Turn that thing down!"

What is your most memorable response, or a response you would have loved to have made?

Ask her if there is anything SHE would like to listen to.

Passion for good music, reproduced on a good system, isn't limited to the y chromosome.

    Cheers,

Now what I'd love to say would be, (in my best Cartman voice):

"Get your bitchass back in the kitchen and bake me a pie" ;):p  :D

Of course, that would be followed with a special delivery(subpeona sp???) from her lawyer. :D

But seriously, seeing that she tolerates this addiction better than most wives, I would just turn it down to a level that doesn't bother her. :o

But really, what RuSs said is the best solution, but that all depends on the time of the day.

My response.....I listen to that newer crap you buy so deal with it! OK, not really my actual response.

Like Russ said. My wife thinks I am stuck in the past music wise. I admit it, I am.

I respect her not wanting to hear my stuff loud so I keep it down when she is home. But Home Alone............

I've tried moving the system to different rooms, now I've gone to headphones. She has no tolerance for anything but smooth jazz. She really needs to get a job and get out of the house more!

i think my favorite,.. first, she knew this cd was going to be played because we had agreed on buying it not long before, so she likes it a bit too. i hadn't heard it in many years, since the turntable and tape decks were set up, and she understands the situation with rebuilding the album collection. anyway, the first time i play it, she comes upstairs to tell me. i told her there's not much point to ac/dc if it's not loud. she agreed and went back about her business downstairs.
