component set power question

Right now i have a pair of dx 5.25 components and a pair of dx 6.5 components. i was thining about taking my 4X40 amp and putting the tweeters on the front channel and giving the woofers the rear channel(on the 5.25 speakers). Would this increase my power significantly? also, im thinking about putting both sets of tweeters up front, what ohm rating would i have if i hooked to woofers to each cross-over?? of any other suffestions u have that i could do with this?? thanks
