WELL my passenger side tweeter blew... and sounds so bad with rock music now....

I'm thinking it may have been like this since I installed it... and today it just got really bad and sharp static like noise was comin from it ya know...

DB's or MMC's here i come...

    Still, for speakers that retail at $800 youd think they would be a little tougher. But maybe he just got a lemon. They turn up every now and then.

    Well everything but that tweet sounds fine...

    I wonder when I had them hooked up wrong at first (when I couldn't get them to work) if I blew it then.... but I would have known right then and there.

    time for DB's or MMC's

    I was giving the 6.5" DB comps a workout on the soundboard the other night... lol i was really impressed...

    I'm going to buy the MMC's... i was just saying the DB's were taking a beating.

    I have no tweeter within a 2 hour drive... scratch that... but I'll get the MMC's... I really want SR's but they are a little out of my budget right now.

    theyre not out of your budget. cc doesnt have them in accomadations, thats why theyre out!!

    huh... who says i bought these from CC?

    i got them straight through kicker. only thing i have from cc is speaker wire and my alpine.

    nothing wrong with cc... it's a good paying job for a 19 yo like me paying for school.

    not as good paying as it used to be - no more commission, i'm anti no comission

    while it's important to be honest with a buyer, it's also important to reward good employees / salesmen.

    i get 3% commission on all sales and 10% commission on all installs plus hourly pay. We charge basically $55/hr, $45 for a radio, $45 for a pair of speakers, $65 for mono and 2-channel amps, $90 for 4-channels...etc. I get $4.50 for each radio install, depending on the car i can install radios in 30-60 minutes, that can be quite a bit of money depending on how busy we are.

    I wasn't making a comparison. :) 9.25 an hour for a college student who wants 15-20 hours of work a week isn't anything to scoff at right now.

    Sure i'd rather have my job with State Farm but that didn't work out. And really I don't do any work at CC...

    Im going to be starting a new job in mid October and Ill only be working 40 or less hours a week as opposed to my current job of 50-65 hours a week. Since Ill be getting off a 3 every day I think Ill run down to Circuit City and snag a part time job working 10-12 hours a week. That would be cool for some extra cash and so I could get discounts on home audio stuff! I would want to work in the home audio dept so I could still compete as an amateur.

    i still remember why circuit city management refused to hire me after i'd been basically hanging around there every damn day ... "you're too honest" - read as 'you won't sell some flunky anything off the wall just to make a sale' and - "you know too much, and you'll confuse people" - read as 'by explaining to them what is and is not important, they will then not want to buy our inferior product'.
