Hey guys I was looking at buying one of these and wanted your opinions. I see that it has preamp outputs so I could attatch a used amp or if I get the money the outlaw! Is this reciever a good place to start for me. I have polk rti70's as my fronts and a csi40 as my center. Other upgrades are to follow. Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi Chris,
The reason I bought my Denon #685 is for the pre-outs on the rear. A few months later I found a Sonographe used-250 cheap and it works just fine....for now. :rolleyes:Denon #2900, Denon stereo receiver, Conrad Johnson Sonographe 120 amp, Blue Jeans cables, and Klipsch RF-7's -
That's what I did.
