The Govenor's ordering everyone to abandon the city.
I highly recommend everyone go out and give blood today. Donate money, food anything to the people of New Orleans. This is a chance for Americans to come together regardless of religious and or political party affiliation. I'm doing my part. Step up and do yours too.

    We were watching the new and it is real bad there. I will probably give blood this weekend.
    I am leary of who gets my money though since I want it to get to the victims and not some government agency that is there rebuilding.

    Stormaid.com is a very reputable charity. Its run by Clear Channel commnications in association with the red cross. I have no problem donating to this and feel very secure my money is going where its needed.
