Backyard sound input

For some time I've been wanting to use my system to source music into my backyard; I am one step ahead now with the Adcom 535 that I'm grabbing from Hotwheelman (Thanks ) I still need to get some all weather speakers, wires and other stuff, but wanted to share what's going through my mind in terms of options:
Appreciate any input on both options.
- Denon's Zone 2
My initial thoughts were to use my Denon's zone 2 pre-outs with the amp; I thought of two options here:
-Go to 5.1 in my main room, use zone 2 pre-outs plus Adcom for backyard; this seems to me the "logical" road.....but have also thought on the following....
-Keep 7.1 in my main room, use the zone 2 pre-outs for backyard. If I do this, I could still have my 7.1 in the main room, and when using zone 2 would get 2 speakers in main room from Denon's amp, and 2 speakers in backyard through Denon's pre-outs plus Adcom. Does this make sense, or are these "either or"?? I guess if this is doable, I would just need to make sure I don't have zone 1 and zone 2 on at the same time?? - Use Adcom's A/B switching
Since the Adcom has this, I could use the amp for my 2 main fronts RTi8's in "A", and the backyard speakers in "B", and then just select according to the desired listening area. Would this make sense? Right now all my 7.1 speakers are fed through the Denon, which is supposed to be 110 watts/channel, by having my RTi8's fed through the Adcom (60 watts./channel) I am concerned that I will lose something.....I know many of you will say "listen and decide by what you like best", but I would also like to hear other's opinions (and yes, I am planning to test how the RTi8's sound with the adcom).
Appreciate any input on both options.

I'd either go option 2 or buy a dedicated reciever (used of course) for your outside entertainment. I've got a Yammie thats been beat to death for 2 1/2 years out on my patio, and she just keeps on ticking...Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2
