Saw this deal posted on Fatwallet and it's exactly what my brother and I need. BOTH of our computers' mobos/processors kicked the bucket within the last 2 weeks (both AMDs) and we need to replace them cheaply. This deal is very good and I was wondering if anyone out west with a Frys nearby could swing in there and get 1-2 of these for us? If it's out of your way don't even bother. I have no problem paying you $10-$20 for your time and will pay all shipping charges etc...

Check www.outpost.com, (Fry's Internet site) sometimes they have the same deals, but sometimes they don't.

Hey Mazeroth, just dropped by Fry's on my way to work. The deal has expired (it was only yesterday). The current sale is only 2.8GHz, not 3.0, not as appealing.

hell with fry's - www.newegg.com - you can get semprons or even old athlon xp's (semprons under the old name) for dirt cheap even in oem packs if you want (bring your own heatsink). as far as motherboards go - i'm partial to Soyo for "moderate everyday use", Shuttle for "heavy everday use", and good old Tyan for "server use" although i couldn't afford the Tyan board with dual MP's for my server so I was a sucker and got a Shuttle with a single Ahtlon XP3000 ( Sempron style not the newer XP).
