Stacking Gear. What do you use as spacers

Been using the HT rig more lately and have the Oink, the DVD player and Sat receiver stacked. It does get warm so i want to add spacers for more breathing room. Have a couple ideas i think i even remember seeing the blue racquete balls cut in half being used but i personally dont want to go that route. So what do you use or suggestions before i make my decision. DIY would be nice but i want it to look good as well...

Thanks for the hints / advise..

I know it sounds strange, but it works and doesn't look bad at all. Hockey pucks. .99 cents each on the web.

I've seen an isolation platform using marbles resting in spoons. Do that.

    Shelves! :D

Make yourself a flexi rack. They're cheap and pretty easy to make.

I second the hockey pucks......they blend in and disappear and are very cheap.

I just got back from the local Home Depot and actually picked up 4 rubber spacers, about 3/4" tall. My cable box sits on my dvd player, everything else has it's own shelf. They work wonderfully. I was using small 1/4" feet that came with my sub but now I'm using those for the sub (just got a 12x12" slate slab for underneath it) and these new rubber feet give it a lot more room in between. Just over the last couple hours of running the cable box, I noticed the dvd player doesn't even get a touch of heat where it used to get a decent amount. $.88 each so I'm not complaining.

Car Setup: OEM Radio, RF 360.2v2, Polk SR6500 quad amped off 4 Xtant 1.1 100w mono amps, Xtant 6.1 to run an eD 13av.2, all Stinger wiring and Raammat deadener.

well i dont have a current pic but with the 52" HDTV, the Polks and SVS thats pretty much all the room i have on the wall. I thought of a couple ways to bulid a rack over the SVS but when it came down to it i bought a TV wall mount that swings and thats what i have my gear on, so basically i have to stack at this point.

Goto Hobby Lobby, buy 2 3/4" or 2 1/2" x 3/4" thick wooden wheels for toys. Paint the tread surface flat black. Buy some self adhesive foam sheets in the craft dept. at Wally World, and cut and stick on the sides of the wheels. Use 4 as spacers between equipment. Cheap and works!

The bones of the hookers I "dated".

The hockey puck idea is cool. The AA crowd is a fan of tennis balls, sawn in half....plus you can add some color to your rig.

If you want cheap ideas, post this question over in the Asylum, those folks are one extreme or the other.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
