hey guys, the monday i will receive my C400.4 and the Friday the C500.1
but this weekend ill dismantle the car and put all the wires.....
i want to know the best way to connect the amps and my speakers From the HU.
Its the HU http://www.pioneeraus.com.au/car_entertainment/cdtuners/dehp8650mp/
and i have an MMC6500s and 2 mm2124
as you can see the HU have DSP and HPF (High Pass Filter) and LPF (subwoofer) -F/R Selectable, i thnk that i will need to use that, right?
so i already buy 3 pairs of RCAs One for Subwoofer, another for Tweeters (Front Channel) and another for Woofer (Rear Channels), but i dont know if this will be ok.
im Reading the Online Manual of C500.1 and C400.4, so looks like the subwoofers are easy to connect, the amp just have 2 outputs, so connect each sub to each output
But i see some problem with the C400.4.. cant figure how connect it Looks like i need to use the FullRange Exit from my HU (dont know if its available, but i think that is possible tweak it) and USE Y Adapters
will be better to use the DSP/CrossOver of my HU or the Amp CrossOver?
well hope you guys understand me
Thanks in Advance

I read the Manual of The HU and the DSP looks great.

Ya hook the front channel outputs from your h/u to the front inputs of your amp and then to your tweeters.
Then ya take the rear ouputs from your h/u and run them to the rear inputs of your amp and then to your mids.
Nuttin' to it bro.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

mmm, ok on that way i cant use the DSP/Crossover of the HU, is not better to use that?

I dunno dude. That 400.4 has a dandy crossover built right in and I would rather use that.
As far as all the EQ's and fancy signal processing, in my opinion they dont do much good. Ive found its just easier to screw the sound up with too many tuning options.
Im not familiar with that particular DSP though so you may like it.
You wont need a Y adapter with 3 sets of pre-outs.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

ok, so i will test both options....
maybe the DSP is good, i read the manual and looks easy...
take a look at

if i want to use the 3 way of the HU, i can connect the Subwoofers output directly to the C500.1
Mid/Rear Output to the Rear Input of the C400.4 and High/Front OUtput to the Front Input of the c400.4, and thats all?
is not possible to overpower the tweeters if i connect in that way? -
Yes its possible to overpower the tweeters. If you set the gains too high, drive the amp to clipping youll fry them pretty quick.
Use common sense in setting your gains and using your volume and youll be fine.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005
