sorry for all these stupid sub questions, but i am still trying to learn. would a sealed or ported box be better for me. i typically listen to rock and would probably have a db 12".

I'm a big fan of sealed enclosures. IMO, they provide more accurate bass.

Sealed gets my vote........put about 3 10's in a series/parallel config and push lots of power..........................

Sealed for me as well. Much better SQ. Ported can be designed to be as sweet sounding as a sealed but its much harder and ported boxes are less forgiving of design or contruction flaws.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005
