Bugle Boys

I just bought a pair of 6DJ8 Amperex BB halo getters that measured 98/101 and 109/99. What exactly are the numbers telling me? And, was $47 shipped for the pair a good price? I was looking at a few of the online tube stores and all the Holland BB 6DJ8s were quite a bit higher than this.

I paid 25 shipped for those i sent ya i think... But you already had holland bugle boys you may not hear a difference in the same tube.. Id look for Rca black plates, or mullards .. you already have some of the best tubes in that model tube.. The online stores for NOs tubes are way overpriced IMO so don't use that as a price guide. new stock tubes are best bought there as they will have a guarantee most likely from noise and workmanship....MY HT RIG:

Cliff,
Just getting a back up pair of my "so-far" favorite tube. Wouldn't want to have something happen to the others and not have any around to use. What do you think about those rings that limit harmonics?"SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,
