FINALLY! Google releases a messenger. I downloaded, but currently you can only talk to GMail members. However, they are working on letting you talk to -anyone-. So that is awesome, I will wait a bit before I jump on this one though, it is still in the rough rough stages - definetely looking forwards to it though. No more AIM! No more MSN! No more Yahoo! woo hoo...

I guess I could use GAIM, but its fairly buggy with Windows eh... ;)

I've been using GAIM for a while now, the only bugs I find are with file transfers, which just don't work. For regular chatting I have zero problems.

While I love that Google has made this, it's really only useful if other people use it as well - most people I know use AOL's IM client, so unless google's client learns how to talk to AIM members, it's next to useless.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

They are trying to do that now...

GAIM is a multi-chat client program...

You can talk to Yahoo, MSN, AIM all in one form - Trillian is another (it even combines ICQ and IRRC (sp)

Yeah I installed the program and sent the invites, now I'm just kinda waiting for the invites to roll back in.
Neat little thing they got there.

Ahh, Trillian. Heard the name and never knew what it was. I'll be looking into this when Google figures out how to get it to work with other clients.

I'm currently using GAIM and really don't have any problems.
