800i's are superior to my ear but not so much to be worth the bother in selling one and buying the other. There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin

with good power behind them... they are both good sounding speakers.. and like jdhdiggs said.. not worth the trouble selling what you have and replace with the RT800i's.PolkFest 2012, who's going>?
Vancouver, Canada Sept 30th, 2012 - Madonna concert  -
I actually prefer the RTi70s - so it's just a matter of personal preference...

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, that's what I thought. I compared specs and they seem to be almost identical. Now I just purchased a used CS400i center. Will this be a good match with my RTi70's??
Oh ya, I failed to mention earlier, I use my system for 90% home theater. Does this change any opinions??POLKPIONEER SYSTEM

90% HT - you wont be able to hear the difference in any of the models - RT16, RT800, RT800i, RTi70, RTi8 - HT is just not a picky material for speakers.
Sit back and enjoy.- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Stick with your i70's.
