At the stroke of midnight tomorrow night, I will have completed 29 years of military service, and STILL haven't been sent to a real screwed up place for the durations that Troy has in his shorter service time. I'm VERY proud of that. I've been to some real shitholes, but get in and get out faster than BDT. I love it! Hey Stinkish, I'm thinking about you!

Congrats, that is really something to be proud of. Hope the next year goes as smoothly as the first 29 for ya.

Smoothly? I have already been arrested while pulling SAC alert, smacked over the head with a hat by my commander, busted in rank from Master Sergeant to Tech Sergeant and promoted back again. A hell of a lot of laughs and fun? Yes. Smooth? No.

Thanks for the thanks, but aircrew guys like me get treated like primadonnas. Guys like Troy get the short end of the stick almost all the time.

Congrats on the 29 years (and 14 mins !! )

Aircrew DO have it made in terms of treatment, however, in the event of a 'mishap' I have a better chance of walking away, so, in that light, I figger they deserve it.

Oh, and the other thing I meant to post....what George isn't telling you is that he's got over 10,000 flying hours which is almost unheard of.

Think about it, in a normal 9-5, 40 hrs a week job, that's over 5 years in the air. THAT is a lot of flying.
