I have a set of the MMC6500 components and for whatever reason I was under the impression that the tweeters could be mounted in the center of the grille for the woofer in the hole. I Have tried for hours now with both mounting housings (surface and flush) and I cant seem to make it work. If so...what am I doing wrong?

I have a feeling I have been wasting my time and Im about to get lauged at alot ;).

Also I have a set of the DB 6 3/4 components (older from 98' or so) that I have in the back. I am pretty sure they have a much better sound overall. I would have thought the new ones sounded as good as the ones from back then but they don't in my opinion. What gives?

Have you had the 6500s long enough for them to break in? Mine took about 70 hours or so to really start to sing. They also want at least 125 watts each, of good clean power. Give em time and you'll be happy. :)

Come on...really does anyone not know. Ths is a VERY simple question that there is no documentation to support.
