I'm going to see Brian Wilson perform SMiLE tonight for free. My roommate just handed me a ticket and said "I have an extra one."

*salivates*

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see a true musical genius.

Are you joking? I didn't see the smiley in there anywhere...

Search on here for Brian Wilson, been lots of discussion about his stuff on here...

His 'Smile' album got tons of good reviews a year ago.

    Amazing, Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!

It was so nice seeing a true legend perform. Brian Wilson is one of my musical hereos and getting a chance to see him was such a treat. He has obviously lost a lot over the years, but I'm so glad I got to witness this. His voice sounded really good and the band he has assembled is absolutely outstanding.

If you get a chance to see him perform on this tour or in the future, do it. It's not often a person my age gets to see a legend like this. I've been fortunate enough to meet and watch both Roger Waters & Jimmy Page perform already and seeing Brian Wilson perform is just about the biggest honor so far.

I do wish he could have held it together more way back when, but I guess this is what makes the story of a musical legend.

Yes, also a great band from Austin gaining fame from SxSW. I'd love to talk more about them, but NOBODY on this forum seems interested in music like that. I can't count the number of posts I've made on NEW music that 99.99% of the people on this forum have NEVER heard and nobody bothers to listen to it. Truly missing out.

No opening band though. They put on a very long set. :) Played SMiLE in it's entirety.

I LOVE the Spree. Those types of bands are my favorites and, as a bonus, their recordings usually aren't made artificially louder like most pop and rock records so they sound VERY nice when played through a nice rig. If you ever want to talk about them, Ill respond or just throw me a PM
